International Art Competitions

It’s part of Art and Color 365’s mission to celebrate artists for the unique perspectives, amazing skills, beautiful imagery, and creativity they contribute to the world. We do this through regular feature stories in our magazine about significant artists and with monthly art competitions that showcase artists to bring them greater attention and offer broader outreach for their work.

Competitions Themes/Entry Fees

Competitions based on a specific medium (watercolor, acrylic, pencil/ink, pastel, oil) — Artists may submit two-dimensional artwork in any style and of any subject.

Competitions featuring a theme (portraits, wildlife/animals, landscapes/waterscapes, abstract/non-objective, figurative) — Artists may use two-dimensional media or mixed media of their choice.

Entry fee: The regular entry fee is $25 to submit up to three pieces of art in a competition. Unlimited entries allowed. (An early entry fee may be offered for entries received by a specific date before the final deadline for the competition.)

Prizes

1st Place

• Wins $150 cash award;
• Receives a six-page magazine feature story about the artist showcasing up to eight pieces of their art. Additionally, the feature story will be posted on www.artandcolor365.com;
• Will have their awarded artwork included in exhibitions in Art and Color 365’s magazine (print and digital) and on the magazine’s website;
• Social media promotion in the form of individualized posts, stories and reels;
• Distribution of an individualized press release which will be submitted to top U.S. media outlets and search engines;
• Receives a digital award certificate as well as a letter size award certificate suitable for printing;
• Receives a free digital issue of Art and Color 365 magazine in which their story appears.

2nd Place:

• Receives a four-page magazine feature story about the artist showcasing up to five pieces of their art. Additionally, the feature story will be posted on www.artandcolor365.com.
• Will have their awarded artwork included in exhibitions in Art and Color 365’s magazine (print and digital) and on the magazine’s website;
• Social media promotion in the form of individualized posts, stories and reels
• Distribution of an individualized press release which will be submitted to top U.S. media outlets and search engines;
• Receives a digital award certificate as well as a letter size award certificate suitable for printing;
• Receives a free digital issue of Art and Color 365 magazine in which their story appears.

3rd Place:

• Receives a two-page magazine feature story about the artist showcasing up to three pieces of their art. Additionally, the feature story will be posted on www.artandcolor365.com;
• Will have their awarded artwork included in exhibitions in Art and Color 365’s magazine (print and digital) and on the magazine’s website;
• Social media promotion in the form of individualized posts, stories and reels;

Special Merit Award Recipients:

• Will have their art featured in an individual showcase in Art and Color 365 social media;
• Will have their awarded artwork included in exhibitions in Art and Color 365’s magazine (print and digital) and on the magazine’s website;
• Receive a digital award certificate as well as a letter size award certificate suitable for printing;
• Receive a 50% discount on a digital issue of Art and Color 365 magazine which includes their artwork

Artistic Recognition, Honorable Mention,
and Finalist Award Recipients:

• Will have their awarded artwork included in exhibitions in Art and Color 365’s magazine (print and digital) and on the magazine’s website;
• Will have their artwork included in Art and Color 365 social media;
• Receive a digital award certificate as well as a letter size award certificate suitable for printing;
• Receive a 50% discount on a digital issue of Art and Color 365 magazine which includes their artwork

Requirements

Open to artists worldwide. Entrants must be 18 years or older and register with Submit.com to enter a competition. (It’s a quick and simple process.) You may submit as many entries as you like. Artists can win a maximum of two awards per competition. See complete competition rules at www.artandcolor365.submit.com.

All submitted images must be from your own original artwork and not be taken from other artists’ work or materials for which you do not hold the copyright. Royalty-free images are acceptable. Copying another artist’s work or digitally drawing on top of another person’s photography or artwork does not qualify as original art. (No photo app-manipulated or AI artwork please.)
